Our Roots

ABOUT

Chabad of Cambridge Crossing, serving the East Cambridge & Charlestown Jewish community.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

Our school is built on the belief that the earliest events in life are the most important and formative, and are critical determinants of the long course of development.

As our name suggests, we have a strong emphasis on learning through the arts, incorporating the Reggio Emilia discipline. Our children spend the day exploring, experiencing, playing, and creating. From our infants to our preschoolers, our students are exposed to a world full of art, music, and nature.

Our children learn through innovative and creative activities that are both teacher-led and self-directed. We follow the child's lead, using their interests to create points of study through a variety of motor, cognitive, and social skills.

Our vibe is gentle and happy, and our noise is the chatter of children’s creativity.

As a Jewish educational center, the moral values of Judaism are woven naturally throughout all of our disciplines so that they become both a meaningful and treasured part of our children's lives.

SUPPLEMENTAL JEWISH EDUCATION

Cambridge Hebrew School of the Arts

At Cambridge Hebrew School of the Arts – a division of our popular JEW CREW program – we strongly believe in fostering children’s natural curiosity as a means to inspired learning. Through the universal language of art, our students experience Jewish traditions, holidays, culture and life cycles. Through innovative and creative activities that are both teacher-led and self-directed, our students draw their own conclusions allowing them to own their Judaism.

Our unique Aleph Champ program has them enthusiastically motivated to climb the ranks until they are fluently reading Hebrew!

At Cambridge Hebrew School of the Arts, our diverse families feel comfortable and welcome, and form a special community together. Jew Crew has a well-earned reputation as a trendsetter in creative Jewish education for children ages five to thirteen.
